Camel’s milk found to restore insulin activity in diabetics, making it a natural treatment for the disease

The researchers studied 75 male albino rats that were divided into five equal groups. The scientists designated two groups as either negative or positive diabetes controls. The team also gave two other groups camel milk, while the last group was given the diabetes drug metformin. The experts supplemented the rats with camel milk for two consecutive months. The research team then ran a series of assays to examine the animals’ serum glucose, leptin, and insulin levels as well as liver, kidney and lipid profile.

Team finds that telomere length can have a direct correlation to heart failure in humans

Each cell in the average human body contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, with four telomeres on each pair. Telomeres cover the end of the chromosome, protecting it from deterioration or fusion with adjacent chromosomes, much like the plastic tip at the end of a shoelace protects it from unraveling. While there is a length range for classifying a healthy telomere, researchers found, for the first time ever, that people with heart failure have shorter telomeres within the cells that make up the heart muscle (known as cardiomyocytes).

The most popular TOXIC food ingredient in the United States – CANOLA OIL

You’ve heard the saying “The devil’s in the details,” well… the devil is actually in the ingredients list. It’s called Canola oil and it’s quite easy to find in almost all of the prepped and processed food products at two of the top “healthy” food grocers in the country. No, Canola oil didn’t just “get a bad wrap” (pardon the pun), because it’s been bad all along. Let the truth be told: Canola oil is bad for your health. Did you think otherwise? Were you conned because you believed some hoax of a slogan, “Heart Healthy” – with a cutesy logo from the insidious American Heart Association? Remember that the AHA is comprised of clowns who want us to trade out butter to eat more toxic oils, like genetically modified Canola, soy and corn.

As California legalizes pot, few smokers realize cannabis is often contaminated with pesticides, mold, heavy metals and chemical toxins

As of yesterday, it’s now legal for adults in California to purchase recreational marijuana. This is being hailed as a breakthrough against marijuana prohibition, but the masses of would-be pot smokers in California seem to carry a popular delusion that rests on the false idea that marijuana is safe to smoke in unlimited quantities because it’s “natural.”

Study: Cannabis found to reduce inflammation in the brain, preventing mental decline of people with HIV

Researchers from Michigan State University found that marijuana users with HIV have fewer inflammatory white blood cells. As the immune system continuously tries to fight the virus, inflammation in the brain occurs in many HIV patients. However, the study’s authors report that those who use marijuana note levels of inflammatory cells that are more in keeping with those of healthy individuals who do not have the infection. This means that marijuana could help HIV patients to hold on to their cognitive function for a longer time.

Organic food isn’t just better for you – it tastes better too

The organic food industry has been booming for more than a decade — and the market shows no signs of slowing down. In June 2017, reports showed that sales of organic products had doubled since 2007, with totals reaching upwards of $47 billion. And there’s plenty of good reasons why the market for organic goods continues to grow: Not only is organic food better for you, consumers say it tastes better, too.

Disease has an inverse relationship with nutrition: Eat more fruits and vegetables to reduce risk of nearly all disease, research finds

A team of scientists from Imperial College London pulled together all the world’s available population studies that document fruit and vegetable intake. The ninety-five studies included two million people and accounted for 112,000 cases of cancer, 81,000 cases of cardiovascular disease, 47,000 cases of stroke, 43,000 cases of heart disease, and 94,000 premature deaths. They wanted to find out if nutrition has any real-world impact on reducing the risk of chronic disease and premature death. Their findings, published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, suggest that disease has an inverse relationship with nutrition.

Vitamin C: A Powerful Weapon During Cold And Flu Season

Following Benjamin Franklin’s saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” you can bolster your chances to avoid the headaches of cold and flu season by an intake of Vitamin C. Every article I have written on supplements I have included the caveat of asking your friendly family physician for permission. This is not to cover my backside (although it does help), but because there are many people who may have underlying health problems that do not permit the use of certain supplements. If you fall into that category, then check before you indulge.

Drink coffee, live longer: Recent research finds 3 cups daily reduces the risk of death – from ALL causes

Drinking up to three cups of coffee daily may improve longevity and reduce the risk of all-cause mortality, according to a study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. As part of the study, a team of researchers at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and the Imperial College London has examined the beneficial effects of coffee consumption among people across 10 European countries including the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, and Italy. The study has received funding from the European Commission Directorate General for Health and Consumers and the IARC.

Statins are gateway drugs for Big Pharma: Take one and you’ll need four or five more prescriptions for the side effects

One out of every three American adults take statins, and if you think that sounds like good news for statin manufacturers, you’re missing the bigger picture. All of Big Pharma benefits when people take statins. In fact, statins can really be thought of as gateway drugs. After all, they have so many side effects that you will likely end up taking several other medications after you start statins just to deal with them.

Repairing immunity – The key to healing

The rise of “superbugs” – antibiotic-resistant microbes such as MRSA – has been labeled a public health crisis by the World Health Organization. Meanwhile, healthcare costs continue to rise – while chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and autoimmune disorders increase – at an alarming rate. Clearly, Western medicine has failed at addressing these issues.
